WALS 2026: Connecting Lesson Study Around the World
The 2026 Conference of the World Association of Lesson Studies (WALS), will be held online November 2-4, 2026. Please register now for this unique occasion to connect with colleagues from all over the world…
The conference theme, Connecting Lesson Study Around the World, continues to explore how educators learn from one another, from students, and from research—within a school, region, country, or across international boundaries.
The 2026 Conference will mark the 20th anniversary of WALS and the inauguration of online conferences (2026, 2028, 2030…) that will alternate with face-to-face conferences (2027, 2029, 2031…). The online conferences will reduce WALS’s carbon footprint and also reduce cost to participants.
The conference sessions will be divided into three time zones. The global schedule is available HERE. Registration is individual, but we hope that some local Lesson Study teams will get together to attend the conference and hold local events outside of the online conference hours!
