Speakers
Alan Eathorne is the headteacher at Husbands Bosworth Primary School, Leicestershire, UK. He is the Research Lead for Learn Academies Trust and supports other leaders to embed effective professional development in their schools. He has recently completed a Masters in school-based leadership with his dissertation focussing on remote Lesson Study.

Dr Stef Edwards is the leader of a charitable school trust of 11 Church of England and community schools in the English East Midlands. A keen Lesson Study advocate, she has established LS as an integral part of Learn Academies Trust’s professional learning offer and recently completed a nine year professional doctoral study of Lesson Study leadership, graduating from University of Brighton this year.

Lyudmila Trubnikova is a biology teacher - expert at Nazarbayev Intellectual School, Aktobe city, Kazakhstan. The total teaching experience is 30 years. Since 2018, she has been a coordinator of Lesson Study at school. Lyudmila conducts seminars on Lesson study for teachers of the city and region.

Gulzada Pussurmanova is a Master of Science in Educational leadership and an English teacher at Nazarbayev Intellectual School, Aktobe city, Kazakhstan. The total teaching experience is 15 years. Since 2020, she has been a trainer of Lesson Study at school. Gulzada conducts trainings on implementing Lesson Study for the teachers of Higher education at the regional university in Aktobe.

Zamzagul Tuitina - Teacher of English, graduated from Pedagogical Institute in 1984. Now works at school-lyceum №38, Astana, Kazakhstan. She is the Lesson study coordinator of the leading school. She participated in WALS Conferences in Amsterdam (2019), Macau (2021) and Kuala Lumpur (2022). She is interested in teaching, learning, leadership, Lesson study.

M Shukri H Marzuki is a Biology teacher in one of the top schools in Brunei. Sekolah Tinggi Perempuan Raja Isteri (STPRI ) is an all girls’ school which has performed in the top 5 rankings for the whole country in terms of O level results. He has taught Biology and Combined Science since 2005 and is now the Head of Science Department in the school. He views Learning Study as another innovative way to develop teaching.

Laura Formosa – a primary school Assistant Head and lecturer at the University of Malta. In 2020, Laura engaged in a lesson study. Since then, she presented in local and international LS conferences, published a LS report and two peer-reviewed papers, was one of the book reviewers of “Stepping Up Lesson Study” and currently leads LS in schools.
