Immersion Program 2025 Level 2

Due to its popularity, IMPULS and the Lesson Study Alliance will offer another Lesson Study Immersion Program in Japan this year. It is scheduled from October 28 (Tuesday) to November 6 (Thursday), 2025, just before the WALS (World Association of Lesson Studies) Conference in Hiroshima.

The program offers educators a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in authentic mathematics Lesson Study in Japan. Participants will observe several mathematics lessons developed through Lesson Study in elementary and secondary schools and how Japanese teachers conduct post-lesson discussions. All research lessons and post-lesson discussions will be simultaneously translated into English by experts in mathematics teaching and learning. In addition, participants will have opportunities to interact with teachers, students, and education professors from schools and universities in Japan.
