AERA 2025 Pre-Session Study Phase

Education in collaboration with the innovative and energetic Social Justice Lesson Study Team. This visit will be exclusive for AERA LS SIG members. The lesson study will be an amazing opportunity to gather in person to discuss the lesson study work that this team of interdisciplinary teacher educators and researchers collaboratively do to integrate social justice into their instruction. Their areas of expertise include

• special education (Jeanne Connelly, PhD)
• culturally and linguistically diverse education (Andrew Walton, PhD)
• bilingual education (Lina Martín-Corredor PhD)
• literacy development (Maria Magallanes MA).

Andrew Walton and Mark Koester are co-chairs of the Site Visit Committee for the 2025 AERA Annual Meeting.
