HONG KONG

Hong Kong is a cosmopolitan city where East meets West and old meets new. A former British colony and current Special Administrative Region of China, Hong Kong has inherited traditional Chinese heritage and experienced a western, colonial influence which creates her distinct identity. She is also one of the world’s most thriving economies and is a world-class centre for business, culture, and trade.

Chinese and English are the official languages of Hong Kong while most of the locals speak Cantonese for daily communication. English is widely used in the Government and by the legal, professional and business sectors.

Similar to Macau, Hong Kong is famous for its variety of lifestyles, culture and entertainments, and in particular, its delicious food. Visitors can also take a ferry across the Victoria Harbour or take the tram to The Peak, to enjoy the stunning views of the city and the skyline of Hong Kong, or walk along short nature trails to experience the breathtaking scenery of Hong Kong.
